Family and board members from the Veteto Foundation made surprise visits to five HMS classrooms last month bearing gifts. 2026 Excellence in Teaching recipients Joey Carpenter, Nancy Cheney, Marissa Stoker, Jodi Pierce and Stephanie Bowman were all recognized for their skills in the classroom. Each will pick up a check pick up $5000 check honoring all winners as the Veteto Foundation banquet. The Veteto Foundation which has now given away more than $500,000 - celebrates its 20th year of recognizing the best of the best in Hobbs educators.
